“La Margarita” is one of the most famous drinks made with tequila. Of Mexican origin, there are several versions of her story, and in all of them a woman appears as the protagonist: Marjorie, Margaret or Margarita. It is a combination of tequila with lemon as the main ingredients, a touch of orange liqueur and frosting in salt, this was enough to become the eighth best-selling cocktail in the world.

CARLOS HERRERA
In 1938, in his restaurant “Rancho la gloria”, located between Tijuana and Rosarito, Mexico, he created a cocktail for one of his clients, former dancer Ziegfeld Marjorie King. This lady was allergic to various spirits and only tolerated tequila, Carlos got to work and introduced her to the margarita drink, and according to stories, she was fascinated by the combination of flavors and it was one of her favorite drinks.
CARLOS OROZCO
In 1941 in the Cantina Hussong in Ensanada, Mexico, the story is told that this cocktail was created for Margarita Henkel, the daughter of the German ambassador. By the time the young lady enters the establishment, Carlos Orozco was experimenting with drinks. He offers her this cocktail, and being the first person to drink it, decides to put her name “Margarita” on it.
MARGARET SAMES
Another version of this cocktail brings us to, in 1948. This Dallas high society lady served this cocktail for her guests at her vacation home in Acapulco. One of her guests and close friends was Tommy Hilton, owner of Hilton Hotels. Mr. Hilton is said to include this cocktail in the bars of his hotel chain. This story is the one that many affirm is false since “the margarita” according to the stories was created years ago.
LORENZO HERNANDEZ
It is told how in Chihuahua, a bartender named Lorenzo was amazed by the beauty of a young dancer named Margarita Carmen Cansino and created this cocktail in her honor. This took place at the famous Kentuchy CD bar club. Juarez. This beauty would later become one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood, Rita Hayworth.
PANCHO MORALES
Francisco Morales is another bartender, who is credited with creating this cocktail when in 1942 he worked at the Tommy Place Bar in El Paso, Mexico. Many experts believe that he is the true creator of this cocktail, since Francisco was a renowned bartender, very experienced and with a huge passion for creating new drinks.

MARGARITA KOSHER ORGANIC RECIPE
Crusta of salt of tortilla tatemada and dried chiles. Pour all the ingredients in the shaker, add ice, shake vigorously and strain into a previously frosted coupete glass with the tortilla salt.
For the tortilla salt: ate a tortilla until crisp, add grain salt, dried chile de arbol and morita. Crush everything together in molcajete.
