PRIMERA CALIDAD

CAMPO

We are producers of organic agave, and the quality of our aged tequilas begins in our fields, with agave carefully selected for its exceptional maturity. We call this “PRIMERA CALIDAD CAMPO ( Premium Field Quality ) and it’s what sets our blancos apart: an extraordinary base that will patiently rest in Nadalie barrels, crafted from the finest woods sourced from forests around the world.

What has always set us apart is our transparency: On our main labels, we include the age of the agave, a unique detail in the industry. This traceability, from field to bottle, guarantees one thing: A deep passion for what we do.

PRIMERA CALIDAD

BOSQUES

At Casa Santanera, the aging of our tequilas begins with selecting woods from the world’s best forests, such as Tronçais and Bertranges in France. These woods are air-dried for over 36 months, a crucial process that allows the tannins to develop more smoothly and complexly, enhancing the micro-oxygenation and structure of our spirits.

Through our collaboration with Tonelería Nadalie, we’ve crafted exclusive toasts for our aging process. Toasting is a key step, as it releases volatile compounds like vanilla, caramel, and smokiness, while also softening the tannins. This not only adds depth and complexity to the tequila’s aromatic profile but also improves its smoothness on the palate and its persistence.

Among our barrel selection, we are fortunate to have Colbert barrels, made from wood sourced from trees that have taken over 400 years to mature. This type of wood, being so dense, has a micropore structure that allows for nano-oxygenation, requiring longer aging periods. The result? An aroma and flavor that are truly extraordinary, we Call This “PRIMERA CALIDAD BOSQUES” ( Premium Forest Quality ).
